Privacy Policy
Cupboard is a meal planner. It needs to know what is on your shelves, and that is essentially all it collects. There is no advertising, no analytics SDK, and no tracking of any kind.

Who we are
Cupboard is operated by 6rhinos LLC, doing business as CupboardBot — “we” and “us” below. We are the company responsible for the data described here, and support@cupboard.bot reaches us.
What we collect

Photos and AI
Pantry scanning is the only feature that sends anything to a third party, and it only runs when you ask it to. You can require a confirmation before every scan, or turn scanning off entirely, under Account → Photos and AI in the app.
When you scan a shelf, the photo is uploaded to our server, queued, and passed to Anthropic's vision API, which returns the item names and sizes it can read. The photo is erased once the scan finishes. Nothing else is sent with it — not your pantry, not your plans, not your account details.
Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. Their terms are at anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms.
Payments
Cupboard Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment entirely: no card details ever reach our servers, and we never see them. All we receive is Apple's confirmation that a subscription exists and whether it is still active. Apple's privacy policy is at apple.com/legal/privacy.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data, ever.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we run no advertising identifiers.
- We ship no analytics, crash-reporting or attribution SDK. The iOS app has no third-party dependencies at all.
- We do not use your pantry or your plans to train any model.
Your choices
- Delete your account. Account → Delete account, inside the app. It removes your pantry, plans, shopping list, waste log and scan history, cancels any active subscription, and signs out every device. It cannot be undone.
- Turn off scanning. Account → Photos and AI. Everything else keeps working.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected. Email support@cupboard.bot.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Your session token is held in the iOS Keychain rather than in ordinary app storage. Passwords are stored hashed, never in the clear.
Children
Cupboard is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who we send it to, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
